I went one step further and ask Wes P about the Hardwick Water This was his ans to me:
Hardwick gets its water from the rural water system...... The old well is still working and the pump is in the fire hall and the well is under the building as you remember.

Hi Bob, Do you take orders for lefse! I love it but I need more than myself to do it. In case, I am just kidding about the ordering.
Yes, Mom did make lefse on the stove in the kitchen and because Dad had converted the wood and/or coal burning stove to a unit that burned oil, she was delighted with the even heat she could get. I think it was Aunt Lilly that helped make lefse.
Since the Hardwick church was a Missouri Synod church, which was originally German people, there was never lutefisk served there. They did have sometype of beef dinner afew times. Maybe chicken also.
I think you were probably too young to remember Jack Schraeder. The cabinet that you kept the model trains in across the hall was originally Jack's. I have it now. It was once painted white on the inside and I removed all the white paint. There is still one drawer that is damaged which Lyman was going to fix, but never got to it.
The bird's name was Ike. Uncle Hank came to dinner one day and asked if the bird talked and Janice said no. Hank was a confirmed Democrat. Then Hank asked the bird's name. Jan said it was Ike. Hank's response was "Well, no wonder he doesn't talk".
