WHAT IS EVERYONE UP TO?

Good Morning Everyone,

I am writing on my new laptop. Every once in awhile I hit something by mistake and my message will disappear. It is so much faster and senitive that the previous computer...I am keeping it to play games on which I can waste alot of time doing. When Jayne and Patrick were here for my birthday, Pat searched out this laptop and then installed the appropriate stuff so I can take it anywhere in the house to use it.

Not much happening here. Schedules for next year symphony, chamber group, and Bach Festival are all coming out. I have ordered the Bach tickets and have managed to control myself and just order ten tickets. Haven't decided when to plan a Minnesota trip yet?

I was out last evening with two friends. One grew up in Aiken, MN and the other outside of Brookings. We got together to have a drink and eat nibbles and mourn a one year anniversary since our friend, Marj, moved back to Madison, SD. In listening to their growing up stories, I realized that I had a rather smooth and ideal childhood. Our Father didn't get drunk, burn down the house in a fit of rage, make us work unrealistic hours for a child or verbally abuse us as their fathers did. Kathy stated that she realized when seeing her father in his coffin that it was the first time in her life that she wasn't afraid of him...how very sad. Geri spent a year living in a newly built chicken house after the house burned down.
Joan says Dennis is very happy that Arizona won their game last evening. I am sure there was a significant amount of noise in "The Resort" last evening.

Thomas and Katherine gave me a teddy bear from "Build a Bear Store" with their voices recorded birthday wishes inside their bear. I hope no one sees me carry a teddy bear. I am getting old, but as yet not that second childhoodish.

Take care all and my gratitude for all the blessings of the family in which I grew up.

Love, Judy 0-
