I have written two posts and I cannot find them posted or anywhere else. This will be brief because this one might end up with the 'lost ones' The house is in a repair and fix-up mode. I am having the big windows replaced with insulated glass, a sliding door turned into half wall and window, a door replaced with windows, dry wall repair and painting in bathrooms (2) a couple of lights installed and screen doors added. Lyman didn't especially like screen doors, not their function, but how they looked. The front door will have a screen door that operates from side to side while the other two door will get all-weather doors. Right now everything is sort of topsy-turvy. I am useing the futon in the extra bedroom and have become acutely aware of how nice my own memory foam mattress is to sleep on at night. All else is well. Very rainy, but not cold as yet.
