You are correct, Orrin. His name was Anderson. I remember that he drove a faded blue coupe of some make. I think his muffler had failed as I think we could always tell when he came into Hdwk. He usually parked beside DeBates store. There were all sort of stories of his home. "He left animals come into his house. He only bought new clothes when his old ones got too old, dirty, or smelly." I can't remember ever hearing him speak, buy food or come into the hardware store. Was he related to anyone around Hdwk.
Do you think that Gustie Debates was watching any of us as we came home from dates or outings during evening hours. I seem to recall Mom mentioning something about that.
I am grateful that Mom and Dad saw that we had good dental care. It was just that I was always assured of at least one cavity on each visit.
Gustie DeBates ALWAYS watched us when we came home. She is the one who squealed on O and I when we had a party and Chuck Vandie was our Chaperone. Folks were in NY visiting Joan. Had Bob and Buzz with them.......

his frist name was fred. Wes and jim said he went to every show at the palace and alwas parked where he could drive out forward.
