Can I Sniff That?

Another new arrival in the family is Daisy, the extraordinary Boxer. She was just 4 months old yesterday and just completed her second obedience class. She knows how to kennel up, sit, stay, get down (off the furniture) and heal. She's also developed a keen ability for chasing after the family cats, Boxer and Bagger.

Yes, it is ironic that we have a Boxer dog and a cat named Boxer. But no identify crisis as of yet. Anyhow, for you animal lovers, Daisy is a gem and we're looking forward to enjoying many years of snoring, slobbering and cat-chasing!

Cody's last birthday party?

It was party day Sunday at Mindy and Mike's. I was frosting the Choc angle food when Lauran asked if she could help. As you can see, Lauran is very good at cleaning the container. She informed me that she like chocolate very much. And I alwas enjoy her help. Earlyer in the morning Sam help me make the Buttermilk Pancakes
Cody was informed that this is his last birthday party. Grandma Jean said that next year he will be a teenager, and teenager don't have birthday party's. As you can see that Cody left one candle burning. A name was dropped by CJ but he was not given a chance to repeat it. Hard to understand how he left one burning as His cousins Sam and Josh are helping him blow. The Ice cream is the most requested for party's. Banana.

Out of the hospital

Thanks for your calls and cards......I got out of the hospital on Sunday afternoon and while I am feeling better this has really taken my energy level down. I am grounded....can't go swimming (exercising) or golfing for a couple of weeks but walking everyday to get my strength back.
Never had a cold or anything.....just temp, tired and loss of appetite.....finally had to give in to Al and Joan and go to the hospital....good thing I did. Had excellent care and good food....just was not hungry.
Anyway....enough about me.
Love the picture of your family, Tad. To me Josh and Taf are still little kids but they have sure grown up to be beautiful and handsome young adults.
Thanks again for your concern....love you all.

Family Faces

With the miles and years that separate us, it can be difficult to keep up with faces and names. So here's a little update for the memory. Grab your gingkoba tablets and stare intently at the photo. This is my immediate and soon to be family out enjoying a day at the ski hill.

From left to right are as follows - Leah (my wife), Tad (sporting my winter weight), Tafney (engaged daughter), Dan Burzlaff (seated, Tafney's fiancee), Ally (Tafney & Josh's step-sister), Amanda (Josh's girlfriend and mother of Sydney, my grand-daughter) and Josh (son, not-engaged and father of Sydney). By the way, uncle Bob is friends with Dan's father. I forgot his name. But they're from Adrian, MN.

If you don't know, you can click on the photo to make it larger on your screen. That should work for any photo that's posted on this blog. Anyhow, hope all in the clan are doing well.

Don't grow weary of posting to the blog! Yes, we all want to know what you had for breakfast and what medications you're on and who you saw at the mall last weekend. It's not trivia . . . it's family! Keep it up. See ya.

From Tracy

Been on the road for a few day. Delivered a firetruck to a township between Ann Arbor and Detroit MI. We delivered two.

Jan (#3) Hope you are out of the hospital. I know that you love AL and will do everything to keep him happy. But when it is raining don't go golfing with him. Or if you do keep the umbrella over you. Get better and keep up posted

Joan (#2) Thank for keeping us posted. How is Tim doing?

OM (#4) Great picture of you Karen and Patty. What is or where are the other Woolworth's.

I was driving the other day and it or the question came to me. What ever happened to the Lemon's from KS?

This is the first time that I did a spell check and the family names that were misspelled came up with a correct spelling. What i mean to say is that it gave me some choices

Keep us post Joan as you are doing a great job from AZ.

JAN

Went to the hospital yesterday to see Jan. She is doing fine. Her temp was down; but the Dr could still hear some rattles in her lung.
As most of you know it is hard to sleep in a hospital and the food leaves a lot to be excited about. Al took her bagels yesterday.
It has been cool here; but warm up next week.
Orrin, your friend Mel stopped yesterday. Dennis and Al talked to him as I was up visiting Jan. I always say up as she is in room 622.
We didn't celebrate Al's birthday yesterday so will do it next week with a couple other birthdays.
Happy Birthday to Jayne today. Sunday to Gretch and Monday to Tim.
We are going out for breakfast with Tim tomorrow.
Will write more latter.

SISTER JAN

Hi,
We have had a cool, cloudy and rainy week. On Sunday Jan was so cold she couldn't get warm and all she wanted to do was sleep. Anyway, she went to the Dr today and was diagnosed with pneumonia. They are keeping her in the hospital one or a few days.
Al said they are pumping here with liquids and drugs.
Will keep everyone posted.

BICYCLES

Here I sit in sunny Arizona. We have rain coming in this weekend; but we have certainly had nice weather.
Going back to the second weekend in January. Dennis had just finished doing repairs of the bicycle's. We had them right next to the motor home; but couldn't find the lock. Well, some one came along and took 2 bikes. Last weekend I went garage sale shopping with Jack and Denni (Al's nephew and wife) and purchased 3 bikes for a total of 75.00. During the last two minutes of the Super Bowl someone came running by the house yelling "Someone just stole your bike" Yes, of the 5 bikes there they took one of my new bikes. Jack ran after them; but couldn't catch them; but the dropped another bike. So now we have 4 bikes again. Two more than we started out with and they are nice bikes.
I don't know what we do all the time; but can sure keep busy. We really enjoy living across from Jan and Al; and there are some great people living here.
Tim is doing fine and had dropped his blood levels; but it looks like have to cancel their trip to Hawaii; so I won't be dog sitting. Gretchen was laid off this week.
Dennis will be going to Coeur d' Alene the 14 of Feb on his way to other Discovery Session.
Feb has lots of birthdays starting with Al, Jayne, Gretchen, Tim and it would have been Dad's.
Have and Happy Valentines Day and Happy Birthday to All.

Brief Catchup

Hello Anderson Family!

I am still busy with school, and oddly enough, my most busy class is not engineering, but in fact Community Regional Planning which meets my US Diversity Requirement. Oh well.

Tait is overloaded as usual. He's a Community Adviser for a floor (RA), leads a bible study, has quite a class load, and keeps up with his long distance relationship.

Kari is student teaching a second grade class in Boston, and the last I heard the kids were terrible.

And haven't heard too much from Mom and Dad...

I did see in a previous post about Kari's birthday, is actually on the 20th of January, Presidential Inauguration Day.

I'd love to post more, but I have many more hours of homework remaining tonight...

God Bless everyone!
