Stuff and Such from Oregon

Orrin, I am impressed that you can remember anything from HS Biology. I am not sure that I can remember who the instructor was at the time I took the class. I do have in my wallet that I am O negative.

Understand from a couple of people that went to the Oregon-Auburn game that many Auburn fans, up to 15,000, came without tickets hoping to buy a couple. Someone was charging $4,000 per ticket. Saturday there was a "I love our Ducks" Parade. It had at least 49 entries and included anyone or thing from Eugene that had done well. The Duck team was entry 49. Two very long flatbed trucks filled with Duck football players. I didn't go as I had a meeting. The older I get I try to avoid large groups and traffic.

Katherine picked up a swear word somewhere. It is DAMP IT! Which actually sounds pretty acceptable as far as swear words go. On Sunday, Thomas got up and thought they should have a backwards day at their house. Clothes inside out and backwards, dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner. He is so very determined...well both have pretty strong sense of determination.

The sad news, but all right news, is that Janna and Rivers have separated. Right now she is staying with a teacher friend. She was on the phone Sunday crying because her moving out was very hard on him. Promise to change, etc. I say change first and then see what happens. He does not have a high sense of getting out and applying for jobs. Two years ago he got a ecology certification, but has done nothing to use it. Both are great people, but maybe this should have happened a couple of years ago. It all comes down to, I am too old for all this drama. I just want it on television.

I don't know about the Hdwk. reunion. Kari's wedding and the reunion aren't very close together...would like to do both, but not sure about summer plans...depends somewhat on the drama that will unfold over the next couple of months.

It has been over 50 years since Biology Class. As I remember types A and O are the most prevelent. It is the negatives that are a bit rare. In fact if I were a negative I would certainly carry the information on my person. As you have seen in the Luverne Alumni News. Who will be attending the Hardwick Reunion?

OK.....I don't want to beat this blood type to death but how come I am the only one with A + blood type? Of course, don't know what Mom and Dad had for a blood type. I look to much like Joan to be switched in the nursery at the hospital.

Just found out my blood type is O+. Weather here is getting great. We sure do keep busy. Jan and a couple friends painted our unit; I supervised. Dennis hasn't seen it until Sat eve as he has been out of town. Andy arrives today for a weeks visit.
Dennis and I celebrate 50 yrs this year. Can't believe we have been married or I am that old. Joan

I am O Positive. I believe O Positive is the universal donor. I used to get regular calls from the Blood Bank, but suddenly they dicided that my allergy meds were too much so they don't want it anymore. Is anyone other than Judy negative?

Hi, I have been trying to comment on Jan's question, but the comment sign in will not accept my password. I am an O negative. When I was born I am not sure that the medical world was aware that if your blood type was O negative your mother's body could build up antibodies that might make future pregnancies difficult. I guess that Mom did not have difficulties with that issue as the next five of you were born. I do know that she had a misscarriage sometime after Buzz was born. It will be interesting to hear what the rest of you are typed. I think Dad was AB, not sure about Mom. Judy
