Ink Bottle Bridge

I always thought that Ink Bottle bridge was called that because at the end of the school year, everyone would break their ink bottles on that bridge. Don't you remember the glass pieces in and around the bridge plus the blobs of ink on the bridge? Of course, the younger Andersons would not know about ink bottles and ink pens. I thought the bridge was at the bottom of the hill....kind of across from the ball park entrance....or the free show entrance. Anyone else have any ideas....don't be shy!!!

  1. I do remember why it was called 'Ink Bottle Bridge' but was wondering when the ink bottle left the scene and ballpoint pens became the utensil of choice. After the bridge one started to go upward toward the school. The distance wasn't very far and yes, it was across from the ball park, free shoe, etc. place.
