Hi All
Hope your day is going good. As we have been trying to post to the blog and it is not leting me. So we are going this way.
I'm sure that you can gess who the unofficial Historian is from the following last clues
The person was in O's class
The person has two sisters. One in the picture and one was a classmate of the third.
There was alwas a 4th of July picknic with there family and other family from the Hardwick area.
Had a good weekend at Angie and Spuds. But as is the case I was worked too hard . Lauren was also very tired form snoopervising me that we had to do a power nap befor going to bed. (See insert) I have worked to get my body to this shape. Lauren has told me that it is nice and big and soft.
Tried to take a picture of Ethan crossing the finish line but it didn't come out. He ran a 1 K in Stillwater Saterday morning. Spud ran a 10 K befor E did his 1 K. We got there in time to see spud cross the line and I forgot his time. It was 1hr something min

News from Idaho
Dennis went to the Dr to check out if he really needed hearing aids. The Dr felt he should have some tests of which one was a cat scan. On the cat scan the could see a broken blood vessel on his brain. The kind of injury that usually comes from a hit on the head and he couldn't recall a hit on the head. So we were off to a neurosurgeon. He had a couple more tests. And the conclusion is it should dissolve itself; so he goes back in three weeks for another cat scan to make sure it is dissolving. He now thinks he remembers getting hit on the head helping Andy take the neighbors deck apart. The most interesting test he had was a EEG. He could only sleep 4 hours, no food after midnight and a low sugar breakfast two hours before the test. The test took about 2 hours. The say the brain tests better when is with less sleep. So that has been our last week. It is good to know that we have such good medical facilities here.
Some how I touched something and changed my type.
Tim and Deb have purchased a summer home about 20 miles north of here. They will be coming the middle of August to spend time and cool off. Deb's folks are coming with them.
I'm happy we found the people in the picture. I do have the picture if anyone wants it. Mother must have been subbing as it has her hand writing on the back.
Enough chatter from Idaho.
Happy Summer to all. We are having great summer weather.
Love to All
Joan

SORRY
Nice guess but as far as I know Ronny never had a sister. If no one guess I will give you a good clue Sunday night or Monday morning. We are off to Angie for the weekend and to do some project for them.

Picture
It is Ronnie Hansen...
I don't think the second to the last girl in the back row is
Charlene Medill...doesn't look like her. Didn't Medills have another girl..after Charlene and Sherry....was it Linda?

Sorry but that is a good very good guess. Jimmy Joe said he was in that class but was at the family doctor that day. What doctor you ask? The same one the Anderson had. Keep thinking and you will get it. Don't tell the other as you must give them the guess they have coming.

I checked with the Hardwick unoffical historian on the photo posted by Joan of a class at HGS This was the reply that I got:
Bob, the picture as I see them:
front L to R.= Lollie Stoltenberg, Gene Hemme, Ronnie Smook, Merlin Grage, Dale Heckt, Dorothy Jackson, Boysen Girl, Ronnie Hansen, Gordy Wulf.
row 2 = Sherriane Medill, Doug Johanson, Art Deyoung, Ginny Scott, Joyce Rashke, Sievert, Arlan Hamman, Roger Brockberg.
row 3.= Larry Rolfs, Lavonne Moerke, Darlene Hitch, Jim Carstens, Warren Petersen, Martin Berghorst, Glen Hemme, Kathy Thorson, Carol Hengaveld,
row 4= Wayne Aukes, Sharon Claussen, Denny Pierson, Jim Roos, ?Charlene Medill?, Carol Chapin.
I think most are correct. My sister may clear up the question marks.
Give you one gess as to who the historian is
second from the last

Bob's answer
I copied Bob's answer off my e-mail. Hope this works...Jan
Trided again to post a comment on the blog. After the third try I gave up and went this way. This is what I tried to post:
Buzz or I are not in this photo. Second from the left in the front row is Gene Hemme. His brother was a pilot in the Air Force and killed flying. Gene is also passed on. Was a diver on oil plateforms and was killed when a helo he was on went down (I think) .Front row in the spenders on the right is Roney Hanson. Third row on the left is Larry Rolf of Hardwick State Bank fame. Going to try and send this to Roney to see if I'm right and who else is in the picture This would have been two yeard ahead of me
Bob
PS: Hope I got your new address right Carol

Joan's pictures....
Joan....I don't see Bob or Buzz on the picture....I recognized one of the Hansen boys in the front and I think Dale Hansen is standing towards the back. I also recognized Doug Johansen...the one that was killed in a car accident. One of the kids also looked like Charles Brummer. Is there anything written on the back of the photo because I don't see any of us Andersons in it.
IF ANY OF OUR OTHER SIBLINGS WROTE ON THIS BLOG MAYBE THEY COULD TELL US WHO SOME OF THESE KIDS ARE ????????
Carol......how are you and Milton doing.....hope you are both mending...

Steilacoom Washington

Yesterday we attended an impromptu birthday picnic for a three year old. This pastoral paradise is about 30 minutes from our house. I have more pictures but this gives you a sense of how beautiful it was. Green grass, blue waves and lots of rocks to chuck into aforementioned waters. (And a ferry to the nearby prison just minutes away!)
Does it get any better?

How Do You Celebrate 13?
For some people 13 is an unlucky number. For us...it is a great number. Dad and Mom both have birthdays on the 13th. Mark's birthday is September 13 and Isabelle's is November 13.
Today Josh turned 13...officially a teenager. How do you celebrate 13? You start by texting with all your friends then eating pop tarts for breakfast.

Then you beat your nemesis..the Solon Spartans....in the first round of the League Tournament and follow it up with cupcakes with your teams.
Go back for game two and hit the ball over the center fielder's head to be just a couple steps short of your first in the park home run then head to dinner with a couple buddies and host a sleep over.
This blogging has been so much fun and I'm so inspired by Jayne that I've started our own family blog.....www.HouseOfNorse.blogspot.com.
A whopping two posts to date!
